Nobody wants to show you the hours and hours of becoming. They’d rather show you the highlight of what they’ve become.

Our Services: Coaching
Are you ready to make a major change in your career? Working with a coach can bring a fresh perspective and help reignite your passion and sense of purpose. If you’re looking for someone to cheer you on and challenge you in equal measures, Northshore coaching offers a bespoke curriculum to help you achieve your career goals.
How do you know you’re ready to work with a coach?
While many people can benefit from the in-depth, personalised discussions that take place with a coach, we find that the most successful coaching clients are going through some type of transition or transformation. It’s a good sign you’re ready to work with a coach if:
You’ve recently stepped into a leadership role
You want a partner to support you in your leadership practice (establishing, scaling, maturing and transforming your practice)
You’re looking to develop the skills that will help you land a promotion
A milestone like a work anniversary or performance review is leading you to ask what’s next for you
You’re no longer feeling the same passion or enthusiasm you once were in your role
You’re experiencing burnout and don’t know how to overcome it
You’re considering different directions like starting your own business, taking a new role, or changing industries
What can you expect from partnering with Northshore?
I offer 1:1 coaching with passionate human-centred innovators, and I’ve had the opportunity to support people from my team and clients in the space of product innovation. My coachees come from a range of disciplines, but they tend to be Heads, Directors, or Leads of User Experience, Design, Innovation, and Product Management.
We explore topics that fall into the broad categories of: people, products, and practice. Here are a few examples of what we might cover in our sessions:
How to shift gears to collaborate and align with your peers and stakeholders from other disciplines to achieve business goals
How to set strategic direction
How to increase business agility
How to grow a happy, high-performing team
How to establish or mature your innovation practice
How to create a succession plan to step up
What’s next for you in your career? How do you get there?
My past coaching clients have used our time together to:
Step into more senior leadership roles
Set up and launch their own business
Change the focus of their career (e.g. from UX to PM)
Develop their innovation practice
Identify their next career goal
Land their dream job
I don’t endorse a fixed coaching framework. I draw upon my user-centred design background to identify your goals and chart our course and co-create your development plan. My style is nurturing and positive. We can work together to determine whether you prefer more open-ended, coaching-style conversations where I ask a lot of questions or mentoring-style conversations where I offer suggestions and strategies based on my experience and expertise.
How does the coaching arrangement work?
To give ourselves enough time to make progress in tackling your most pressing goals, I offer a 3-month package, which includes 6 sessions (conducted over Zoom) over the course of 12 weeks. While I’m based in the UK, I’ve worked with clients in the US, Australia, and throughout EMEA, so we can find a time that works for both of us. If, at the end of the 12 weeks, you would like to continue working together, you can opt to book ongoing coaching with me.
I’ve found that meeting every two weeks gives you time to reflect, experiment, and put ideas into practice. While I don’t necessarily assign homework, you’re likely to walk away from our sessions with lots of ideas you’d like to implement, and it’s helpful to have time to do so between our calls.

New! Equus coaching
I’m thrilled to announce that I am a certified Equus coach© after a 15-month education with the pioneering Institute for Equus Coaching©. Equus Coaching is a unique and highly effective approach to interpersonal development facilitated by horses and certified life coaches. I believe we can learn so much about ourselves as leaders with an equine coaching partner, including better understanding your presence and how you show up, enhancing your communication skills, and setting boundaries.
If this is something that interests you, I encourage you to book a taster session with me. We can either arrange the session with me and my horses (located an hour north of London), at one of my partner locations near you (e.g. in the San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, or Germany), or I can help connect you to a local Equus Coach in your area.
If you’re interested to find out more, schedule a chat with me, learn more about my Equus Coaching practice or read more about how I coach leaders with horses.
Please note that all Equus coaching takes place on the ground. It does not involve horse riding, and no prior experience with horses is necessary.
